One down, ......four to go!

Well, we survived the first competition! What a day!! I was up just after 5:30am, got myself ready and got Jaden up, we were out the door at 6:30am and arrived (with only one wrong turn) at the University just after 8am. I had lots of time to do her make-up which I was happy about. When it came time to change her earrings, it was not pretty! The back of one of her earrings had somehow been pushed in tight!! I had to shove my nail under it to get it out, I felt so bad, there was quite a bit of bleeding but we cleaned her up and got the other earring is successfully...and without tears :) It is stressful having to get there so early, but, it is nice that it is relatively quiet at that time, by the afternoon it was a mad house! I thought I would be less stressed out this year, but no! I was sitting in the studio with the other moms and my mom and two of my sisters....I was so nervous!! I actually held onto my moms hand each time!!lol They were FANTASTIC!! they scored High-Gold in their jazz number and Gold in their tap routine :) They also won a trophy and a plaque for the school! Jaden said she had butterflies in her tummy but she had fun on the stage :) We get to do it all again next Friday...lol
