About two weekends ago we set out for Port Huron in search of wedding dresses. Our first stop was at David's Bridal, it was all five sisters, mom and Jaden. It was fun to see Aisling and Sinead trying on all the dresses and there were some that looked fantastic, however we wanted to head to Toronto to check out the selection there. We dropped Jaden off in London at about 10:30pm and made the drive to Brampton arriving there at about 12:30am......long day of driving. Later that night/early morning we got a hit with a winter storm which made driving scary! Thankfully Brenda did the driving....at one stage we were going up a ramp that was so icy the car behind us was going up sideways!!!!!! (of course I did not see this as I was too busy covering my eyes, I hate ramps on good weather days, this was a nightmare to me!!) Our first stop was at Windsor bridal, lets just say the women that work there need to retire! cranky old ladies and rude......right behind there was another wedding dress shop where all dresses were $299....the staff there were great, no pressure, they told us that there were lots of ugly dresses, but that there some great ones too we just had to search through the racks and search we did! There were many fits of laughter getting Aisling in and out of those dresses but it paid off as we found (yes it was a group effort) a perfect dress for her, she looks stunning!
Sinead was thinking that we were going to have to head back to Port Huron to get a dress that she liked but first we stopped at a store she had found online called Bridal and Beyond....another store with fantastic staff and she found her dress!! It was the first one she tried on there and it was breathtaking......both found dresses that were styles they had not pictured themselves ever wearing! I can't wait until September and October to post pictures of them:)
It was a fun couple of nights, we had a lot of giggles at night time...mom slept in with Quinn in the sauna and Sinead, Aisling, Anna and myself slept in the other room.....definitely brought back memories of our childhood laying in bed and chatting and giggling......seeing who was the heavy breather!!lol
