Stubborn child.........

So some of you may know that I am somewhat ridiculous when it comes to kid/family pictures..I like everyone to coordinate! It stresses me out...lol for example when we went to Vegas for the wedding we had the same colour scheme going on...the morning of the wedding Rylan decided he was not going to wear the matching shoes...that they "hurt" his feet and instead wore his flip flops....I was annoyed, which I know is ridiculous!! This leads me to today, this year I have decided that I am not going to spend way too much money on christmas outfits for the kids....afterall, they only wear them for pictures and then it gets put in the closet and forgotten. So, I decided I would get them each a christmas shirt and they could wear it for a quick picture and then again on christmas day and they would be comfy. First of all, let me tell you how difficult it is to find christmas shirts, Old Navy had some but they had obnoxious sayings on the front like "Gimme Gimme presents", or "Gift Inspector", I finally was told that a store by the name of Bonnie Togs had some, I went and checked them out today and sure enough they had a few choices that were very cute.....simple with a Snowman or other christmas design on the front. I decided to take the kids there after school to pick out the shirt they liked...what a nightmare that proved to be! Rylan likes to look nice, every night he usually figures out what he will wear the next day...granted I sometimes have to bite my tongue with his choices, but I am learning to let him be (that and I got rid of everything in his closet that I hated on him). I took them to the store and explained that they are going to wear christmas shirts this year, Jackson picks out a cute red shirt with a snowman on the front, Jaden picked out one with a Reindeer Moose on the front saying Merry Christmoose under it, Rylan wanted no part of it!! I tried everything to convince him to pick one, he refused, started crying that the "shirts don't look good", he wanted a dress shirt on the rack beside the tshirts and then wanted a sweater vest thingy with a huge sled on the front to wear over the shirt!!!!! I said no, the tshirt were $9.99 the dress shirt and vest were $40..just what I wanted to avoid. Finally after 20 minutes I had to compromise, I could have just bought one of the christmas shirts, but he would never wear it, that is just him, so Jaden and Jax will wear their christmas shirt and Ry will wear a plain white long sleeved-t....I could not even get him to pick the colour I wanted....red. I guess I am going to have to learn to pick my battles, I definitely did not win this one............stubborn kid!

ROFL I think that is SO cute. That he really cares what he wears! My kids could care less..which is probably a blessing. I'm sorry he wouldn't budge and wear a cute christmas shirt...Bah Humbug! LOL I'm sure the pics will be super cute though. Can't wait to see them!! :)
