Saturday was the danceathon....long day, but fun:) Jaden was one tired little girl, but very happy and the team "Old School" that she was on won!!
We got home just after midnight, the boys stayed in Tillsonburg with Aisling. THe plan was for Shane and Jade to have a nice long sleep in and I had to work at 10am. However the phone rang and 9am and it was my sister Sinead telling me that one of our sisters had gone to Toronto for teh weekend and was visiting with our sister that lives there(who is due to have her first baby in about 2 weeks!). Anyway Anna(not the pregnant sister) slipped on a snowy drive way, and whatever way she went down she broke her leg!! I guess you could see the bone!!!!!!!and she said that when she went to move her leg, it wasjust kind of hanging there! So they called 911 and the ambulance came and took her to the hospital. She said the pain was excruaiting(sp?) so bad that the paramedics called ahead to get the ok to start her on pain meds right then and there. ANyway they ended up doing surgery at 11pm last night, I guess she now has a metal plate and bolts in her leg because when they went to repair the leg they discovered that she has Osteoporosis...her bones are equal to the bones of a fifty year old !! she is 34!
Now they were in Toronto because Paul (Annas husband) had a trade show to do, they also had their daughters with them ages 5&6. So Brenda (pregnant sister) was watching them and they became sick...she did not want to get sick as she is due anytime. Shane ended up driving to Toronto to pick up the girls so Paul could stay there while Anna is in the hospital. He picked up the boys on his way back from Toronto so we now have 5 children here ages, almost 8, 6, 6, 5, 4.5!!! My kids go to a different school but luckily both schools are just down the road from each other and have different start and finish times.
Anna has to go have a bone density test done tomorrow and also has to go the fracture clinic. She probably won't be released until Tuesday, and then has to make the journey back to London, hopefully she has lots of pain meds to help with that journey, right now she is on Morphine for the pain. She has to go back for a bone graft in about 4 weeks, so she will be out of commission for a while. I hope she gets some rest tonight!
